[Hammond]
Some of my critics on this Newsgroup have questioned
the experimental proof that the "missing part of our brains"
could possibly be the scientific explanation of God.
To clarify exactly what is meant by this, I will present
here
the bare outline of the "experimental proof" that the missing
part of the brain causes God. The entire proof goes
something like this:
1. In the first
place, the physical explanation
(or cause) of "God" is UNKNOWN to the world
as of June, 2000.
2. The only actual
evidence we have of "God" is
a 3,000 year old religious tradition, known
the world over and subscribed to in more or lesser
degrees by 5,000,000,000 living adherents of major
organized religions.
3. The description
and characteristic phenomena of
this "God" are so old and so widely known and
documented (cf. the Bible) that one of the most
famous scientists in history, Richard P. Feynman
has said in effect, that we don't need to quibble
over a definition of "God"; the only question
from the scientific viewpoint is:
"Is there or isn't there", a God.
(Richard P. Feynman, in:
_The Meaning of it All_, 1985)
4. From the classical
scientific point of view then,
science is on the lookout for any accidental discovery
that might uncover something that would "explain"
the known, historical, documented phenomena of "God".
5. If such a physical
phenomena were discovered which
seemed to explain "God", the truth of the discovery
could only be judged on the basis of it meeting the
following commonly known scientific criteria:
A. COMPREHENSIVENESS.. it would have to explain
every last detail of what has been observed
historically about "God", including:
1. Polytheism vs. Monotheism
2. The Crucifixion
3. Miracles and revelation
4. Heaven
5. Eternal Life
6. All the "signs and wonders"
of every known religion
7. The Creation
8. Kingdom Come
9. Prayer
10. And everything else ever written
about "God"
B. MEASURABLE... besides being comprehensive
the phenomena must produce a physically
measurable result, an actual physical measurement
of "God".
C. EXPERIMENTALLY CONFIRMED.. the physical
result must be confirmed overwhelmingly by
experimental data which is replicable, stable
and independently confirmed, preferably over many
years and by many people.
D. AXIOMATIC THEORETICAL EXPLANATION..
besides the experimental result, the result must
have a theoretical explanation derived directly
from the axiomatic laws of physics. The most
convincing theory would obviously be one in which
"God" turned out to be explained by THE most
fundamental axiomatic law of physics.
6. Now, Hammond
has discovered that Cartesian Brain geometry
explains 100 years of psychometric results and in fact
has discovered the theoretical basis of the "Structural model".
This he has published in the peer reviewed literature (1994).
Basically the 3D space metric causes the Structural Model
(E,N,P) via 3-axis brain geometry (published). This result
produces a cube in 3D psychometric space which explains
every published experimental Factor Analytic model in the
literature for the past 50 years, including Eysenck's Giant-3,
The Big-5, Clarke's AVA, Cattell's 13-Factor 2nd order model
as well as a dozen other published 6,7,8,9 Factor results.
This is an overwhelming empirical confirmation.
7. More recently
(1997) he has discovered that "g" (aka IQ) is
is the 4th dimension of the metric in psychology and is
caused by the 4th dimension of the spacetime metric (time);
since "g" is known to be caused by "mental speed".
With this result, 60 years of Personality psychometry is
united with the previous 35 years of Ability (Intelligence)
Psychometry, thus theoretically explaining the ENTIRE
100 year history of Psychometry.
8. This means the
spacetime metric X,Y,Z,t physically causes
the psychology metric E,N,P,g. Furthermore, it is known
(Cattell, 1973) that the 4x4 psychometry metric is
"curved" and produces a higher order factor, what was NOT
known before Hammond's discovery, is that this factor is
AXIOMATICALLY a single structural factor (as opposed to
merely experimentally a single factor), and furthermore
that it is caused by Gravity, since the spacetime metric
is causing the psychology metric.
9. Finally, experimentally,
it is easy to show that the
direct biological cause of the 4th order factor is "brain
development" associated with the well known "Secular Trend",
because one of the 4 components of G4 is "g" (aka IQ) which
is KNOWN to be impacted directly by brain growth (cf. Mental
Retardation, malnutrition brain stunting, and the Flynn
Effect). Likewise E,N,P, the other 3 components are also
effected by "asymmetric brain growth" (whereas "g" is effected
by total brain growth); therefore: The 4th order factor
MUST BE CAUSED BY- Total percentage of brain growth.
10. This fact then, tells
us that if we identify G4 as "God",
that the direct cause of God is in fact "brain growth".. or
to put it more directly, "God is caused by the missing
portion of our brains" (e.g. the "growth curve deficit").
11. Finally, the theory
tells us, that this brain growth is
mediated, or controlled by "Gravity". In other words,
from the physics stand point, God is caused by Gravity.
12. Parenthetically, the
Factor Analytic identification does
not tell us "what gravity". Obviously it is not Terrestrial
Gravity. the most likely explanation is Penrose's suggestion
(Penrose-Hammeroff theory, see _Shadows of the Mind_, 1994),
that it is Quantum Gravity in the brain that is controlling
consciousness, and growth.
Note, that the involvement of Gravity is not even essential
to the proof that G4 is "God", since the fact that it is
"axiomatically" the last structural factor, and caused by
brain growth (Secular Trend), is sufficient in itself to
reliably conclude that it it "God". The fact that it is
caused by Gravity, is simply the frosting on the cake of the
proof. It is the theoretical fact that makes the result
"compelling" to a reasonable scientific certainty.
Of course, the involvement of gravity is crucially
important for future research, and further discovery of the
complete physical nature of "God". particularly the question
of "Life After Death".
Now, I simply argue that the above facts, when viewed by ANY
competent
scientific authority, do in fact constitute a sufficient and rigorous
"scientific proof of God".
The manifest psychological effect of having 10 or 20% of
your brain
"not fully grown", meets EVERY SINGLE ONE of the necessary criteria
mentioned above. It is "comprehensive". It is easily
and manifestly
capable of explaining every known phenomena of God and religion..
even to
those who don't already "know" that incomplete growth is the cause
of
God (bear in mind that many high religious and secular authorities
already know this, they simply can't prove it).
It produces a "measurable" result. G4 can be measured
in the
population (psychometrically) or for any individual to two decimal
place accuracy with current methods. "God is measurable".
The result is "experimentally confirmed" by 100 years of
psychometry,
by 75 years of research measurements on the "Secular Trend" etc.
etc.
The result has an "axiomatic theoretical explanation" from
Relativity
in that the curvature of real space causes the curvature of Psychology
space. It is Gravity, that causes God from the physics standpoint.
Therefore, I submit, that the discovery I have made, ABSOLUTELY
QUALIFIES AS A RIGOROUS HARD SCIENTIFIC PROOF OF
THE EXISTENCE OF GOD.
